AIMtv — Terms of Service

Operator: Australian International Multicultural Association Incorporated (ABN 53 496 604 146) (“AIMtv”, “we”, “us”, “our”).

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the AIMtv website, live broadcast, program guide, creator/partner tools, and related services (collectively, the “Services”). By using the Services, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy.

1) Who can use AIMtv

  • You must be 13 years or older to use the Services. Under 18s need parent/guardian consent.
  • You must comply with all applicable laws and these Terms.
  • We may refuse service, close accounts, or restrict access where required by law or for breaches.

2) Service description

  • AIMtv provides live multicultural programming (no on-demand).
  • Schedules and listings may change at any time.
  • Some programs may be geo-restricted due to rights.
  • Streaming quality/availability may vary.
  • Audience features (polls, Q&A, etc.) may have additional rules.

3) Your account

  • Some features require registration with accurate details.
  • You are responsible for activity under your account.
  • We may suspend or terminate accounts for breaches.

4) Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Violate laws or third-party rights.
  • Post harmful, hateful, unlawful, or explicit content.
  • Bypass geo-blocks or security controls.
  • Disrupt Services (scraping, malware, flooding, etc.).
  • Use Services for spam, scams, or unauthorised ads.
  • Impersonate or misrepresent affiliations.

We may remove content, restrict features, or notify authorities if necessary.

5) Content ownership and licences

5.1 Your content

You retain ownership but grant AIMtv a worldwide, royalty-free licence to use your submitted content (e.g., Q&A, comments, votes).

5.2 Creator/partner content

Creators/partners warrant rights ownership, provide necessary consents, and grant AIMtv broad licences for broadcast, reproduction, and promotion. You indemnify AIMtv against claims (see Section 12).

5.3 AIMtv content

AIMtv owns all rights in its branding, logos, graphics, code, and audiovisual materials. Use requires written permission unless otherwise allowed by law.

6) Community channels

Channels are responsible for compliance with laws and guidelines. AIMtv may refuse, reschedule, or remove content.

7) Audience participation, votes & promotions

Polls, competitions, and giveaways may require registration. Bots or automated entries are prohibited. Extra terms may apply and prevail in case of conflict.

8) Third-party services and links

We are not responsible for third-party websites, apps, or platforms linked through our Services. Their terms apply.

9) Privacy

Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal information.

10) Service changes & availability

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue parts of the Services. We will try to minimise disruption.

11) Disclaimers

Services are provided “as is” and “as available.” No guarantees of uninterrupted service or specific results. Information is general, not professional advice.

12) Liability & indemnity

AIMtv is not liable for indirect or consequential losses. Liability is capped at AUD $100 or what you paid in the last 3 months, whichever is greater. You indemnify AIMtv for breaches, unlawful use, or content issues.

13) Termination

You may stop using the Services anytime. AIMtv may suspend/terminate access for breaches or legal reasons.

14) Intellectual property concerns

Report infringements to info@aimassociation.org.au with details, proof, and a good-faith statement. We will review promptly.

15) Communications & reminders

By using reminders or accounts, you consent to receiving necessary communications. Opt-out options exist for non-essential messages.

16) Fees & charges

Applicable fees, taxes, and third-party costs (e.g., data) are your responsibility. Payment terms may apply separately.

17) Governing law & disputes

These Terms are governed by NSW, Australia law. Parties agree to exclusive jurisdiction of NSW courts. Both must attempt good-faith dispute resolution first.

18) Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms. Effective date above indicates version. Continued use after updates = acceptance.
